Habitat

Ensuring game birds have sufficient habitat to live, breed and thrive is a top priority of the Game Bird Foundation.
The Game Bird Foundation partners with Idaho Fish and Game, private landowners, and state and federal agencies to protect and develop bird habitat. Whether you are interested in developing game bird habitat on your own land, or partnering with The Game Bird Foundation to preserve habitat throughout the region, your support is essential to our success. |
Game birds
The Game Bird Foundation offers its members a unique opportunity to help establish game bird populations on their own land. We do this by providing the information, tools and resources necessary for you to raise and release live birds for a fraction of the cost of doing it on your own.
Over the past few seasons, Game Bird Foundation members and affiliated sportsmen have raised and released thousands of pheasant poults, hens and roosters.

Hunting & education

Robust populations of game birds in well-managed habitat are the perfect formula for upholding the wonderful traditions of bird hunting. The Game Bird Foundation is focused on educating the public on the role hunters play in game bird management and we make every effort to continue the legacy by introducing people of all ages to the excitement and enjoyment of game bird hunting.
From specialty youth hunts to IDFG Access Yes program participation, we partner with organizations, land owners and businesses to share these educational programs and hunting opportunities with our members and supporters throughout the year.
